Guided Prayers

Scripture-based prayers for the real moments of life — when you need the words to bring your heart to God.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer, present your requests to God.”Philippians 4:6

A guided prayer gives you words when your own are hard to find. Each one is rooted in Scripture and written to be prayed slowly — personalize it, pause where a phrase meets your heart, and let it lead you into an honest conversation with God.

Whatever you’re carrying today, there is a prayer here to help you bring it to the Lord.

Prayers to pray today

A prayer for anxious moments

Father, I bring You the worries I cannot quiet on my own. You invite me to cast my cares on You because You care for me. Trade my anxious thoughts for Your peace — the peace that guards my heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Help me trust that You are near, that You are good, and that nothing I face today is beyond Your reach. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Philippians 4:6–7 · 1 Peter 5:7

A prayer for healing

Lord, You are the God who heals. I lift up this body, this weariness, this pain, and I ask for Your restoring touch — in ways seen and unseen. Give wisdom to those who care for me, comfort in the waiting, and hope that holds even when answers are slow. Whatever comes, keep me close to You, for You are my strength and my portion forever. Amen.

Psalm 103:2–3 · Jeremiah 17:14

A prayer for wisdom and direction

God, I don’t want to lean on my own understanding — I want to trust You with all my heart. You promise wisdom to anyone who asks, so I ask now. Make my next step clear. Guard me from fear and from rushing ahead of You. Order my decisions according to Your will, and let me walk the path that leads to life. In Jesus’ name, amen.

James 1:5 · Proverbs 3:5–6

How to use a guided prayer

Slow down

Read it once quietly, then again out loud. There’s no rush — prayer is time with God, not a task to finish.

Personalize it

Add names, specifics, and your own words. These prayers are a starting point, not a script to get right.

Sit in the silence

After you pray, pause and listen. Prayer is a conversation, and God often speaks in the quiet.

Stay in the Word

Look up the verses beneath each prayer. Praying God’s promises back to Him builds unshakable faith.
